The Stewards wished to enquire into the running and riding of Helly Hansum, ridden by T. Ryan, and trained by Denis Gerard Hogan. Prior to seeking evidence, John Dunne, representing Mr Hogan, stated that the trainer was not present but believed that he had him registered as an Authorised representative. Mr Dunne accepted that the IHRB register of Authorised representatives did not include his name. He also confirmed that a temporary registration form had not been lodged with the Clerk of the Scales. The Stewards were unable to proceed with this enquiry and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee. Furthermore, having considered the admission by John Dunne that he was not a registered Authorised representative in accordance with the provisions of Rule 147 (v), the Stewards referred this matter to the Referrals Committee S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Shes Gold trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped very quickly

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Helly Hansum, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have presented with a skin abrasion on her right hind cannon otherwise was post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis
