Permission was given for Amazing News (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
Leaving the stalls, Global Esteem (IRE), unplaced, jumped right badly crowding Lethal Shadow (GB), unplaced, which in turn bumped Bayar (GB), placed third, on the hindquarters causing it to become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 5 furlongs out involving Where Next Jo (GB), unplaced, ridden by Laura Pearson and The Cherokee Kid (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Cameron Iles.
Being 7lb claiming apprentices, both were offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined.
Pearson was cautioned for careless riding as she allowed her mount to edge left towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing Iles to take a slight check on The Cherokee Kid (IRE).
The performance of BLAKE’S VISION (IRE), which started second favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.

Following the race, Rhona Pindar reported that Brodick (GB), unplaced, was slowly away and ran green and Daniel Muscutt reported that Lethal Shadow (GB), unplaced, hung left in the home straight.
Jason Watson reported that Cool To Be A Cat (FR), unplaced, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
