It was a good performance and two fast jumps at the last two fences probably sealed it for him. He just made one mistake all the way around. A mistake the last day might have been the difference of winning and losing where today he has learned from that. He’s progressing and it’s good to see him handle that nice ground. Hopefully there may be more to come during the summer.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kapard (GB), trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards that have not won a steeplechase before 2nd May 2021, other than one hunters steeplechase within the previous two National Hunt seasons (130 = 11st 12lbs)
