Permission was given for Flying Aletha (USA) to be ponied early to post.
The Starter reported that Ventura Vision (FR) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 1:59pm.
Mark Johnston was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Undertake (GB), placed fourth, ridden by David Egan, Follow Suit (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Liam Keniry, Bonne Vitesse (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Tudhope, Cirrus (GB), unplaced, ridden by Pat Dobbs, Mother Earth (IRE), placed third, ridden by Ryan Moore and Mahale (GB), unplaced, ridden by Oisin Murphy.
Egan was suspended for 5 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without correction carrying Follow Suit (IRE), Bonne Vitesse (IRE) and Cirrus (GB) off their intended lines which in turn caused interference to Mother Earth (IRE), causing the filly to be bumped on several occasions and becoming severely unbalanced, which resulted in Mahale (GB) to be steadied off heels.
