It was noted that the representative of Richard Hannon could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance other than Siam Fox (IRE) may have been unsuited by the Good to Firm, Good in places ground on this occasion, which in their opinion, was riding loose on top.
Following the race, Frederick Larson reported that Oslo (GB), placed third, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
