Permission was given for Incrimination (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
Inside the final furlong the winner Bare Necessity (IRE) lugged quickly right-handed before being promptly corrected, giving a slight nudge to Incrimination (IRE), placed third, who in turn made slight contact with El Hombre (GB), placed second.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Bare Necessity (IRE).
The winner Bare Necessity (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wolverhampton on 28 November 2022 where the filly finished tenth of eleven runners beaten 10 lengths.
The Stewards noted the explanation given by the representative of Clive Cox that the filly appeared to be a lot calmer in the preliminaries on this occasion.
Bare Necessity (IRE) was routine tested.
