Review tramore 19th Aug
< Raggletagglegypsy returned to his best form as he led home a one-two for local owner Paul Holden in the feature Richard Power Private Clients Betting Handicap Hurdle at Tramore.
Bryan Cooper allowed Miradane and favourite Paddy O Dee to skirmish for the lead and he urged Eoin Doyle's six-year-old past the pair after jumping the third-last flight.
Raggletagglegypsy (8-1) cleared away between the final two jumps as Obsession stayed on into second place in the same colours, though he was 12 lengths adrift at the line and never in the hunt.
Willie Mullins and his nephew Emmet landed an early double with Moveable Asset and Dysart Dancer
Moveable Asset got into the Family Fun Day At Tramore Races Maiden Hurdle as the first reserve and after being sent off the 11-10 favourite, won with some authority.
Mullins jnr looked as if he might have a bit to do when Angles Hill led him for most of the final circuit, but there wasn't much between them over the last two flights and Moveable Asset powered away to score by four and three-quarter lengths.
Dysart Dancer occupied second spot for most of the way in the 2012 Tramore Races Centenary Year Maiden Hurdle and took over from long-time leader Rinn Ua Gcuanach after jumping the third-last flight.
The seven-year-old (7-4 joint-favourite) was always going best after that and had the race in the bag at the final flight before galloping on strongly to win by three and three-quarter lengths.
John Kenny's Miley Shah (8-1) was pulled up at Galway last time but found the opposition more to his liking in the Waterford & Tramore Racecourse Directors (QR) Maiden Hurdle and was driven out by James Walsh to win by three and a half lengths.
Pulled up in a chase last time, Davy Fitzgerald's Bangonform (8-1) returned to the smaller obstacles for the Noel Cummins Bookmakers Handicap Hurdle and travelled best going to two out before being sent clear by Davy Russell to win by 13 lengths.
