Galway Festival winner Capri made a successfully swift reappearance in the Coolmore Canford Cliffs Stakes at Tipperary.
With his stamina proven for further than this extended seven furlongs, the Aidan O'Brien-trained grey was sent straight to the front by Seamie Heffernan and dictated terms to suit himself.
The well-backed 8-11 favourite wound up the gallop and the further he went the better he went, and he passed the post a comfortable two lengths ahead of Boyfriend Brian < Ostatnia registered back-to-back victories in the Follow Tipperary On Facebook Handicap.
The Willie McCreery-trained 11-2 chance had put in a couple of moderate efforts since a course and distance triumph back in May, but she was back on song as she accelerated into the lead inside the final two furlongs before repelling the late thrust of Master Speaker by three-quarters of a length.< Mayleaf Shine broke her duck at the sixth attempt in the Anglo Printers 1890 624 624 Nursery Handicap.
Shane Foley drove the 2-1 favourite to the front well inside the final furlong and she stretched a length and a half ahead of Hueston with the promise of more to come.< Sweet Sounds (13-2) made a sparkling start to her career in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden.
Running in the colours of Qatar Racing Ltd, and saddled by Ger Lyons, the daughter of Vocalised showed a pleasing turn of foot to hit the front before careering three lengths away from Lady Derrynane < Byron Beauty (11-1) apparently had it all to do on official ratings in the McGrath Oil Claiming Race but Pat Smullen brought the eight-year-old mare with a well-timed challenge to deny Harvey Specter by a short head.< Rigid Rock (16-1) turned the Dan Dooley Ford Centre Handicap (Div 1) into a procession, while the second division went to the McCreery-trained Valentana
McCreery completed a treble when Elm Grove ran away with the Toomey's Applegreen Filling Station (Ladies) Handicap.
