Review thurles 9th Feb
Grade One winner Don't Touch It got off the mark over fences in the Templemore Beginners Chase at Thurles.
Jessie Harrington's gelding, who claimed the scalp of Petit Mouchoir at last year's Punchestown Festival, was third on both of his previous two outings over the larger obstacles and was the 2-7 favourite to go two better.
He still has a little bit to learn in the jumping department, but it got better as the race progressed and he wasn't hard pressed to see off Dicosimo by three lengths.< Livelovelaugh ran out a convincing winner of the Cashel Rated Novice Hurdle.
Having hit the front three out, the 5-2 favourite may have had a race on with Carrig Cathal bearing down on him, only for that one to unseat at the second-last, and that left Livelovelaugh clear to beat stable companion Aussie Reigns by 20 lengths.
The line came just in time for 4-9 favourite Capital Force in the thurles.ie Maiden Hurdle.
Everything seemed to be going to plan when Davy Russell set sail for home after the third-last, establishing a decent gap back to Sharps Choice but the early leader fought back valiantly and his late thrust only failed by a head.< Champagne Classic gained just reward for his consistency with a clear-cut victory in the Holycross Maiden Hurdle.
Jack Kennedy took closer order leaving the back for the final time and once leading two out, the 11-10 favourite soon stretched eight and a half lengths away from Freeway Space thanks to a decent change of gear.
Saturday's Fairyhouse winner Paper Lantern was a warm order to follow up in the Rock Of Cashel Handicap Chase but could only manage a laboured third as Dinnie's Vinnie (14-1) beat Flynsini by three lengths.< Perfect Man survived a minor error at the last to spring a 22-1 surprise in the Killinan Handicap Hurdle, while Planet Nine outbattled Back Bar in the Munster Flat Race.
