< He'llberemembered showed his appreciation for the return to timber by nailing Drive Time on the line in the Premier County Hurdle at Thurles.
Down the field in the Kerry National last month, Paul Fahey's 7-2 shot loomed up to challenge the front-running Drive Time approaching the final flight, although Ruby Walsh appeared to have kept something back on the odds-on market leader.
Drive Time rallied when popped the question, but He'llberemembered wouldn't go away and got his head in front in the dying strides.
Willie Mullins gained some compensation for Drive Time's defeat when Balnaslow confirmed the promise of his Gowran Park second to Art Of Logistics in the www.thurlesraces.ie Beginners Chase.
The 4-6 favourite was always in the front rank and although Hunting Party and Western Man straightened up for home in his slipstream, Davy Russell never had to get too serious for Balnaslow to beat Hunting Party by a length and a quarter.
Russell followed up, again in the Gigginstown House Stud colours, when Clarcam made it third-time lucky in the Devils Bit 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.
The Gordon Elliott-trained 6-5 favourite came up against a well-regarded sort in Dessie Hughes' Indian Icon but Russell was positive on his willing partner, who quickened again after the last to score by two and three-quarter lengths.
Russell was fancied on the Gigginstown-owned Rough Justice in the Cashel Maiden Hurdle, but couldn't reel in Bishopslough (7-2).< Fantastic Gold just got the better off Caoimhe's Delight in a thrilling tussle for the Holycross Maiden Hurdle.
The 9-2 chance arrived on a lengthy losing run but, after jumping the last alongside Caoimhe's Delight, pulled out that little bit extra to prevail by a neck.< The King Of Brega showed massive improvement on his return from a 517-day lay-off to land the Leugh Handicap Hurdle (Div 1), while the second instalment went to Lash It On and Gocheck won the Munster INH Flat Race.
