Review thurles 18th Jan
< Tally Em Up secured his first win over fences when staying on well to land the Grade Three Beamish Stout Phil Sweeney Memorial Chase at Thurles.
Philip Rothwell's 8-1 chance travelled nicely just off the pace, before moving upsides long-time leader Bohemian Lass approaching the second last.
Ruby Walsh galvanised one final challenge from Moskova after the last fence, but Davy Russell had enough horse under him to go on and record a length and a quarter verdict.
Willie Mullins' highly-regarded Kempes was found wanting in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase as See U Bob (4-1) struck.
The 1-3 favourite travelled smoothly into contention at the second last, but See U Bob showed plenty of grit and got away from the last swiftly to win by two and a half lengths under Alain Cawley.
Mullins was forced to endure another odds-on failure when The Midnight Club could only plug on for third behind Jagoes Mills in the Devil's Bit Beginners Chase.
The 9-10 favourite never looked fluent over his fences, which allowed Jagoes Mills to go on by eight lengths from Karinga Queen and give Davy Russell a double on the day.
Conor Maxwell produced an excellent ride on Will Jamie Run to land the Rock Of Cashel Chase.
The 6-1 chance scooted clear on the turn for home and though Chiraaz closed the gap considerably at the last, Will Jamie Run ran on again to score by one and three-quarter lengths.
Sean Aherne's Springmount (6-1) produced a tremendous battling performance to get back up in the closing stages of the Gift Horse Gallery Horse And Jockey Hotel Handicap Chase, beating Barneys Honour by a length and three-quarters.< Droim Toll (7-1) stayed on resolutely to land the Molony Cup Handicap Chase for trainer Donal Hassett and jockey Paul Townend.
