< Aughnacurraveel got off the mark over fences at the fourth attempt with a commanding victory in the feature Club Limerick Chase at Limerick.
Fresh from a couple of runs on the level last month, the Thomas Cummins-trained 10-year-old was sent off a 5-1 chance in the hands of Mikey O'Connor and looked to be going much the best when he eased into second spot after three out.
Favourite Dushybeag did himself no favours when he hit the second-last, and Harpsy Cord briefly made a race of it, but Aughnacurraveel zipped clear on the run to the final obstacle and was not hard pressed to win by 10 lengths.< On The Way Out s only victory in 18 attempts over fences was getting towards three years ago, but that didn't stop him blowing away his rivals in the Live The Dream With Tote Galway Plate Trial Handicap Chase.
John Kiely's veteran (10-1) was hacking along under Phillip Enright turning for home and having led approaching the second-last fence, he cleared away from the favourite Rohan's Pride to score easily by six and a half lengths.
Andrew Lynch slipped point-to-pointer Our Ned into the lead past the favourite Silver Chief going to the final fence in the limerickraces.ie Mares Beginners Chase and the 16-1 shot powered away to win by seven lengths.
There was a winner for champion trainer Willie Mullins when Primroseandblue (10-3) kept finding for Emmet Mullins to resist the persistent challenge of favourite Paddy The Celeb by a head after an extended duel for the 4th July Limerick Rated Hurdle.
Andrew McNamara raced prominently on Peter Casey's Eight Till Late (4-1) in the 20,000 Euros Tote Placepot Guarantee Maiden Hurdle and though he was hard pressed by Sensing on the home bend, he saw off his rival to score by two and a half lengths.
Charles Byrnes' 13-2 favourite In A Nutshell cruised up heading to two out in the Derek Ryan Plays Live 24th July Handicap Hurdle, but then got into a fight with Count Salazar and it was only in the shadow of the post that Davy Russell got him home by a neck.
