Review limerick 2nd Dec
Ruby Walsh enjoyed a treble at Limerick, completed by Orchard Road s victory in the Shannon Airport Christmas Racing Festival 26th-29th December Handicap Hurdle.
Walsh never let the front-running Magna Cartor have it all his own way and took it up at the penultimate flight.
The 3-1 favourite careered away and two flying leaps at the last helped seal an emphatic six-and-a-half-length defeat of Goulane Davina
The latest French import to come off the Willie Mullins conveyor belt was Kemboy who justified 8-13 favouritism by two and three-quarter lengths from Justmemyselfandi in the Book Online At www.limerickraces.ie Maiden Hurdle (Div 1).
And it was a case of deja vu in the second division as Cadmium with Walsh sporting the same colours of the Supreme Horse Racing Club, made his first appearance since switching to the champion trainer from France a winning one by seeing off Call The Taxie by a length and three-quarters as the 4-6 favourite.
Walsh was denied a four-timer when Aretesone couldn't quite reel in the game Duke Cass (12-1) in the Annual Membership Only 100 At Limerick Racecourse Rated Novice Hurdle.
Orchard Road's trainer Gordon Elliott was also on the mark when Cadeau Du Bresil put his best foot forward in the Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle.
An awkward jump two out seemed to put paid to his challenge, but Cian Collins sent the 6-1 shot in pursuit of Field Robin again and got the better of the argument by three lengths.
Elliott completed a three-timer when Monastery took the Glenview & Rathbarry Stud Mares (Ladies Pro/Am) Flat Race.< Secrets Safe sprung a 20-1 surprise in the Britain V Ireland (Q.R.) Challenge Handicap Hurdle, while Irish Bulletin supplemented his recent chase win in the Follow Limerick Races On Facebook Handicap Hurdle.
The 7-1 chance came to the last in a duel with A Decent Excuse but jumped it better en-route to a two-and-three-quarter-length triumph.
