The best was saved for last at Limerick as El Salvador landed the Summer Twilight Nights Race for the second year running.
Miss United, a superb third in the Group One Prix Royal-Oak at Longchamp in October, was all the rage to make a winning reappearance in the three-runner finale but had no answer as the winner kicked clear early in the home straight.
It was left to Jim Bolger's Gowran winner Cosmic Cannonball to chase the Aidan O'Brien's charge home, but the 11-4 shot was always in charge as he went in by a length and a half.
The afternoon belonged to Dermot Weld, who initiated a treble with Sparkle Factor (8-11fav) in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden.
The Arch filly cruised up to Sherama with a furlong to go and went away in good style for a two and three-quarter-length success.
Weld's smart hurdler Waaheb (evens) recorded a belated first Flat win with ease in the Derek Ryan Plays Live July 24th Maiden.
Having struggled to land a blow in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham, the seven-year-old proved far too classy on only his second Flat outing as he cruised past long-time leader Too Straight before stretching nine and a half lengths clear of Go Gentle
Dual Grade One-winning hurdler Hisaabeet (3-1) completed the winning haul for Weld, making the most of a lenient Flat mark and prevail by a length and a half from Waydownsouth in the Munster Handicap.
Geroid Brouder recorded a second success in nine days aboard Conan's Rock (evens), who beat Dynamite Dixie by one and three-quarter lengths in the www.limerickraces.ie Online Special Packages Handicap, while Fiosrach (8-1) had to work harder to deny Eljowzah by half a length in the Tote Jackpot Handicap.< Miss Gally Rio (5-1) proved her 66-1 second at Leopardstown to be no fluke when landing the opening UL Racing Society Maiden, thwarting the challenge of Bush Pilot by half a length.
