Review leopardstown 15th Jun
The Jim Bolger-trained Flight Risk burst back on to the scene with a bloodless success in the Oliver Brady Memorial Shabra Charity Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown.
Jim Bolger's gelding was appearing for the first time in 2017 and after settling at the back, made effortless headway to lead just over a furlong out, with Kevin Manning taking advantage of the splits coming at the right time on the inside.
Flight Risk (12-1) stretched impressively clear in the closing stages and had two and a half lengths in hand of Don't Touch at the line.< Auckland showed his appreciation for a drop in distance by justifying 2-1 favouritism in the Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow Handicap.
Second over a mile and a quarter here a week ago, the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt had enough speed to cope with a mile and after leading a furlong out, was kept up to his work to hold Allography by half a length.
The first three could be worth following after what was a pretty rough race for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.< Dawn Delivers and Battle Of Jericho made their challenges either side of Mattymolls Gaga, who was squeezed out, but both were run down by 5-2 joint-favourite Lethal Steps who stormed home to pip Dawn Delivers by a short head.< Petticoat (9-2) still had five opponents in front of her with a furlong and a half to travel in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, but she accelerated smartly on her seasonal debut to see off fellow Godolphin representative Belle Boyd by two and a quarter lengths.< Poitin (12-1) is at her happiest on the all-weather but showed she handles turf as well with a last-gasp success in the Bulmers Live At Leopardstown Rated Race.< Trump Card (13-2) stuck his neck out to land the Outcider Handicap, while Miles To Memphis (8-1) won a dramatic Leopardstown Summer Pass (Q.R.) Maiden.
