< Quarton made a remarkable recovery in the hands of Davy Condon before landing the feature race on the Kilbeggan card.
Gordon Elliott's seven-year-old, sent off the 3-1 favourite for the Follow KilbegganRaces On Twitter Handicap Chase, made a mess of the third-last when making progress and all but fell, but though his nose hit the ground he somehow managed to stay on his feet.
Condon dropped back to last, but soon began to make up the ground again and after catching Dedoctorsdaughter on the final bend, Quarton raced clear to score by two and a half lengths.
Willie Mullins' five-year-old Ask Vic won a bumper at Kilbeggan on her debut last autumn and she showed her liking for the turning track with a clear-cut victory in what looked a competitive Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey Mares Novice Hurdle.
Sent off the 15-8 favourite under Paul Townend, she sat second for most of the way and joined the front-running Well Tuned two out before readily asserting to score by two lengths, with another length and three-quarters to Beach Of Falesa < Lucky Pat won a Galway bumper for Dot Love last weekend and the 8-15 favourite had no trouble following up in the Like Kilbeggan Races On Facebook Maiden Hurdle, leading going to the third-last and coming nine lengths clear under Andrew McNamara.< Wate And Sea (3-1 favourite) went up 6lb for breaking her duck at Ballinrobe last time but it didn't put the brakes on John Joe Walsh's mare, who followed up easily in the Joe Cooney Memorial Handicap Hurdle, winning by 11 lengths under Adrian Heskin.
David Casey looked to have plenty under him coming to the final bend in the Pig 'N' Whistle Pubs & Restaurants New York Maiden Hurdle and once popped the question the Martin Brassil-trained Kolaphos (5-2) surged into the lead and cleared away by seven lengths.
Dessie Hughes's 8-11 favourite Seefood made amends for unseating at the last when in command at Kilbeggan last time by taking the Kieran Kelly Memorial Beginners Chase in convincing style, Barry Geraghty driving him 11 lengths clear.
