John Oxx's high-class colt Zabarajad finally broke his duck in the Bennettsbridge Maiden at Gowran Park, but he made hard work of it after being sent off the 30-100 favourite.< Miss Gardenia led them into the straight in the seven-furlong contest chased by President Lincoln with Zabarajad, who was sixth in the Irish 2000 Guineas, under pressure to close on them.
The leader gave way nearing the final furlong and after President Lincoln veered left and gave Zabarajad a bump, Johnny Murtagh's mount finally asserted and won by a head.
Aidan O'Brien saddled three in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden and the juveniles finished 1-2-3, with Colm O'Donoghue leading the way on 7-2 chance Triumphant

Keagan Latham edged the Ger Lyons-trained three-year-old out for a run and the gelding stayed on well to grab the lead and foil Elusive Award by a head.
Conor Hoban was quickly across from his high draw in the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap and led all the way on the Sean Treacy-trained Hollymount King (18-1), who held No Trimmings late thrust by a short head.
Backers of favourite Naked Cowboy had no sort of a run as Samantha Bell's stirrup leather broke just after leaving the stalls and the four-year-old eventually trailed in at the back of the field.
Jim Bolger's filly Sunset Beauty (13-2 joint-favourite) came into the jogforjockeys.ie Handicap largely unexposed after three runs and ran right away with the contest, winning by five and a half lengths under Kevin Manning.
