< Along Came Casey (6-4 favourite) produced an impressive display to turn the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Hurry Harriet Stakes at Gowran into something of a rout.
Belle De Crecy cut out much of the running, but Pat Smullen oozed confidence on the wide outside with two furlongs to run, sitting still as others were hard at work.
Once given her office, Along Came Casey soon stamped her authority on the field, and charged clear to beat the front-runner by three lengths.< Mekong River opened his account at the first time of asking in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, but only after the stewards intervened.
In front from a long way out under Fergal Lynch, the 33-1 chance Green Tag veered across Aidan O'Brien's 4-9 favourite in the final furlong, and then edged back the other way as Joseph O'Brien tried to get up.
The stewards immediately called an inquiry, and deemed the interference enough to demote Green Tag to second, giving Mekong River the win.< Manalapan just prevailed in a thrilling finish to the McEnery Cup Handicap.
Patrick Prendergast's 11-2 chance was one of a number in with strong claims approaching the furlong pole, and joined leader Encrypted Message close home.
The pair battled bravely in the closing stages, with Seamie Heffernan able to get Manalapan home by a nose.
The Mick Halford-trained Castle Guest followed up a recent Leopardstown win with an impressive effort in the Gowran Park Centenary 2014 Handicap.
Scooting clear in the final furlong under Shane Foley, the 9-2 chance came home a length and three-quarters clear of Brown Butterfly
Princess Aloof (11-4) finished well under Fran Berry to land the Rita Davies Slattery 70th Celebration Nursery Handicap for trainer Jessica Harrington, while Philip Donovan found a really willing partner in Sabrina Harty's Ned's Indian (14-1) as he landed the Golf Membership At Gowran Park For 2014 Apprentice Handicap.
