Review fairyhouse 24th Feb
< Bellshill made an impressive return to action after almost a year on the sidelines when winning the At The Races Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse.
Willie Mullins' charge was third in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham when last seen and travelled strongly throughout this Grade Three contest.
Picking up the early leaders seemingly full of running under David Mullins, the 8-13 favourite had to be ridden to stay in front but held a secure four and three quarter-length advantage over A Genie In Abottle at the line.
Willie and David Mullins made it a double when Cadmium (4-5 favourite) landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase in good style from Veinard < Mitchouka defied his penalty to run out an impressive winner of the Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle.
Gordon Elliott's charge had to give weight all round in the Grade Three contest, but was still sent off the 4-9 favourite and the market was proved right when he cruised into the lead on the home turn.
Davy Russell only had to push him out in the closing stages to record a comfortable two and a quarter-length success over Mastermind
Elliott bagged a double when Sometime Soon (2-1) landed the Ian Smith Memorial Flat Race under Lisa O'Neill.
Padraig Roche had a winner with only his sixth runner since taking over from his father Christy when Out Of The Loop charged to victory in the Tommy Carberry Handicap Hurdle.
The 6-1 chance swept into the lead before the last and kept on strongly to beat the fellow JP McManus-owned Sire Du Berlais by five and a half lengths under Mark Walsh.
Jim Dreaper and Jamie Codd won the Download The At The Races App Hunter Chase last year with Aupcharlie and repeated the feat this time thanks to Sizing Coal (2-5 favourite), while Jonathan Sweeney's 11-year-old Battling Spirit (15-8 favourite) landed the attheraces.com/cheltenham Handicap Hurdle under Katie O'Farrell.
