Mick Halford and Shane Foley recorded a double at Dundalk on Wednesday evening.
The pair drew first blood when Yulong Baobei (11-4) recorded an impressive debut success in the opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Auction Maiden.
The Choisir filly made all in fine style as she stretched clear in the final furlong for a six-length success over evens favourite Rock In Peace who got going all too late.
The trainer and jockey combination completed their double courtesy of Suvenna who justified 2-1 favouritism in the Fundraising Made Easy At Dundalk Stadium Fillies Maiden.< Haqeeba set a strong pace and it was the winner that got first run at the leader before staying on well to hold the fast-finishing Ionization by a length.< Another Story maintained her unbeaten record with an impressive success in the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
Successful on her debut in November, Sheila Lavery's Rip Van Winkle filly returned to the County Louth circuit for her second outing and ran out a two-and-a-half-length winner from Strada Di Carsoli
The latter was the first to serve it up to the front-running Midnitemudcrabs but the winner showed a nice turn of foot for Ronan Whealan as she stayed on strongly from midfield to score going away at 7-1.< Arcara left her previous form well behind to spring a 16-1 surprise in the Group Discounts At Dundalk Stadium Maiden.< Aspar and A Likely Story (4-6fav) set the pace and were fighting out the finish when Paul Deegan's filly swooped late to deny the former by a head.< Arbourfield defied a 539-day absence to land the Follow Us On Twitter Handicap.
The Prunella Dobbs-trained four-year-old stole a march on his rivals off the home turn and the 12-1 chance opened up a big enough advantage to hold the late challenge of Sister Slew by half a length.
Despite not asserting until late on, Hurricane Class recorded a comfortable four-length victory from Poetic Choice in the 12th July Marshes Shopping Centre Dual Race Day Handicap.
