Willie Mullins landed the Tote Irish Cesarewitch for the second year running as Laws Of Spin took the valuable handicap at the Curragh.

Produced with perfect timing by Chris Hayes, Laws Of Spin (7-1) came with a telling finish to see off the leader Swamp Fox before having enough in reserve to hold off Cradle Mountain

The latter was flying at the death but Laws Of Spin had a length and a quarter in hand over Cradle Mountain, with Swamp Fox a further half-length back in third.< Shanghai Glory benefited from a drop back to six furlongs to take the Listed honours in the Elmer Hannon Travel Waterford Testimonial Stakes

Charlie Hills' charge came through to hit the front over a furlong out and kept on well to hold Master Speaker by a length at 14-1.

Mick Halford's Ice Canyon pulled clear approaching the final furlong but the 2-1 favourite didn't get far enough in front to repel the late charge of the Jim Bolger-trained Holistic Approach (4-1), who got up by half a length.< Calare (8-1) completed a double for the boys in blue when staying on to pick up Bound in the dying strides of the Staffordstown Stud Stakes.

The latter took them along in the Listed contest and as she was fighting off the challenge of Queen Anne's Lace Charlie Appleby's filly picked up nicely when switched to the outside to deny Aidan O'Brien's runner by three-quarters of a length.

The card ended with another Listed event in the shape of the Brown Panther Stakes, in which Alveena got up in the shadow of the post.

Dermot Weld-trained filly came from way off the pace to nail Soul Searcher in the shadow of the post, scoring by a neck at odds of 11-4.

Halford was denied a double as his Katiymann (12-1) was edged out by three-quarters of a length by Bainne in the Stephen Quirke Memorial Apprentice Handicap, while Primo Uomo (5-1) got back on the winning trail when taking the Irish Times Handicap by half a le
