Orator leaves Palace Of Winds for dead at Clonmel

It's been a while coming but Orator finally got his head in front with an emphatic victory in the Mullinahone Maiden at Clonmel.
David Wachman's son of Galileo came into the race off four consecutive seconds, and after being sent off the 3-10 favourite he was given a positive ride by star apprentice Connor King, who led from the off.< Palace Of Winds tried to stick with him, but she was in trouble soon after passing the two-furlong pole and Orator stretched easily away from the front to score by seven and a half lengths.< Flawless Filly has been kept busy of late and Paul Deegan's charge was another to lead all the way, destroying the opposition in the day's most valuable race, the 'My Canine Companion (South Tipperary Branch)' Handicap.
Chris Hayes asked the 7-1 shot for her effort after turning into the straight and she opened up to pass the post with five lengths to spare over Little Arrows who made late progress.
Front-running seemed to be the way to go about things and another to lead all the way was John Murphy's bottom-weight Authorative (7-1), who was all out under Seamie Heffernan to hold off Street Party by a short head in the Tickincor Handicap.
Ken Condon's Auden (13-8), fourth on the Laytown sand on Tuesday, ran out an easy winner of the Tipperary Claiming Race, taking charge a quarter of a mile out and forging clear to beat Hoppsan by five lengths under Colin Keane.
Colm Murphy's 8-11 favourite Grove Field made the most of a great chance to get off the mark in the 'My Canine Companion' Opportunity Maiden Hurdle, though he didn't look the easiest of rides for Mark Bolger in beating Wrong Way Corrigan cosily by a length and a quarter.
Katie O'Farrell rode her first winner when her father Seamus's Strain Of Fame (16-1) led after the second-last and took the Giantsgrave Handicap Hurdle comfortably by half a length.
