Review bellewstown 1st Jul
Ken Condon's stable has struck form and produced a surprise result at Bellewstown as Table Forty Six landed the Fast Shipping Ireland (QR) Race.
Pauline Ryan set only a steady pace on the 10-1 shot, with favourite Salute Him keen to get on with it in second, and she had plenty in the tank entering the closing stages.
Table Forty Six kept up the gallop all the way to the line and though Fantasy King made up ground from the rear, he never threatened and was beaten by three and a half lengths.
There was a terrific finish to the Essential Drogheda Magazine Handicap and the verdict went to the Ger Lyons-trained Red Army Blues who just got the better of favourite Expire
The pair were first and second in a Naas maiden last time, but the 11lb pull proved decisive as Keagan Latham forced Red Army Blues (6-1) in front on the line to grab the prize by a short head.
Lyons was also on the mark when a patient Johnny Murtagh delivered Dark Passion (7-4 favourite) with a late swoop to take the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden by half a length.
There was another tight finish in the Beamish Inter Vintners Pub Challenge Race Nite Handicap, with four locked together as they flashed past the post.
Favourite Big Bad Lily just got her head in front, but Mt Weather charged down the outside under Declan McDonogh and the photo showed Dick Donohoe's 10-1 shot had got there by a short head.< Rockview Diamond earned his reward for consistency in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, Shane Foley attacking off the bend on John McConnell's juvenile (5-4 favourite) to score by a length and a quarter.< El Gran Torino led Tantalising nearly all the way in the Patrick Tallan & Co Solicitors Maiden but had to give way close home as Billy Lee forced David Wachman's three-year-old (11-4) past by a length and a quarter.
