Zoffany takes opener at Leopardstown
The Aidan O'Brien trained Zoffany justified favouritism after he took the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Leopardstown this afternoon.
Johnny Murtagh produced the 4/7 favourite to lead from over one furlong out and kept on well to post a one and a half length win over Gold Post
Winning trainer O'Brien said afterwards: "He quickened up really today, he was ready for today and learnt alot. I don't think they went overly fast there."
"I'm very happy with him. Royal Ascot could be a possibility but we've a good bit to go yet. We couldn't have asked anymore of him in his maiden."
