Yummy Punt at Sligo
Frank Ennis has never hidden the good regard in which he holds Yummy Mummy and the daughter of Montjeu got off the mark at the fifth attempt when beating Ashka in the opener at Sligo, to land some good bets under Rory Cleary.
The Plantation Stud owned and bred three-year-old only had her main market-rival, Ashka, to contend with in the straight, but she got on top by three parts of a length close home to justify support from 11/4 into 7/4.
Ennis remarked, "It's good to get the winning bracket for her. She's very well bred and it depends on how the handicapper reacts as to where she'll go next (currently rated 73). Getting the win was the main aim and Rory did the job well." (EM)
