Yeoman does Ryan a turn
David Ryan enjoyed a welcome success when Yeoman proved stronger than Man Of Principles in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel.
Paddy Mangan on the winner led from two out and he battled off the pace-setting Man Of Principles by two and a half lengths. It's Lou's Turn was a poor third when falling at the final hurdle allowing Endless Desire to come through for that position.
Ryan (who led up the winner) said of his quietly supported victor (12s into 9s): "He'll go somewhere at Christmas now." Seaside Shuffle (opened at 6/4, returned 13/8 after being a general 9/2 chance this morning) on his first start for Charles Byrnes could manage no better than eighth.
