Winning debut for expensive Bolger filly
Pastilla and Kevin Manning

The Jim Bolger trained Pastilla went some way to justifying her expensive price tag when making a winning debut in the opening www.thetote.com Maiden at Dundalk this evening.
Ridden by Kevin Manning, the daughter of Pulpit (bought for USD190,000, somewhat unusually, as a three year old last November) was produced to lead early in the straight before staying on well for an easy four lengths win over fellow newcomer Dynaperformer
Bolger was represented by Ger Flynn who later stated “Kevin (Manning) was delighted with her and she's off the mark now. She is a beautifully bred filly but took a bit of time to come to hand and Kevin said she'll improve plenty for the run.
“We'll see where she fits in now but she is a nice, good looking filly and this was a nice opportunity for her and she handled the surface well.”
