Ballydoyle had an odds-on favourite turned over in the first but normal service was resumed in the fillies' maiden with newcomer Wingspan scoring in the hands of Ryan Moore.
A daughter of Dubawi and Hydrangea, who won the Guineas Trial on this card seven years ago before winning two Group Ones later in her three-year-old campaign, the winner was sent off at 7/2.
Having tracked the leaders, she made headway from early in the straight and took over from 82-rated Nativity Square with 150 yards left to race, staying on well to account for that one by a length and a half.
Winning trainer Aidan O'Brien remarked: “She’s like her mam, lazy and laidback. Ryan said she found loads, handled the ground and would be very comfortable with a step up in trip.
“She’ll have no problem going up into an Oaks Trial.
“She’s a baby and should improve plenty. She was first off the bridle and you would have to be happy with her.”
