Wind back in Mullins' sails
Champion Trainer Willie Mullins, whose stable star Hurricane Fly suffered a setback earlier today, completed a treble at Fairyhouse when his Are Ya Right Chief under his son Patrick Mullins, landed the concluding Follow Nina Carberry On Twitter Irish National Hunt Bumper.
The gelded son of Flemensfirth showed plenty of stamina to grind out the win, eventually wearing down leader Mooney’s Cottage inside the final furlong for a half length win.
Afterwards Mullins stated “that was a good staying performance and he’ll go hurdling now. I think he’ll need every inch of two and a half miles and will be a chaser down the line. Patrick thought he moved well and would go on better ground. “
