Five-year-old Trempolino gelding William Du Berlais (Mark Walsh up) is a Kilbeggan regular already. His three runs to date have all come at the County Westmeath venue and he went a place better after a couple of runner-up efforts in the Like Kilbeggan Races On Facebook Maiden Hurdle.
A beaten odds-on favourite here in mid-July, Enda Bolger's charge was again a short-priced market-leader (8/11,from 10/11) and he delivered convincingly this time by five and a half lengths from Solar Heat
Point-to-point graduate Black Scorpion (50/1) ran a lovely race on his racecourse bow to be the same distance back in third.
Fourth home Tajseer made a bad mistake four out and that put him seriously on the back-foot.
"That was nice. The nicer ground this evening was in his favour. It rained a lot the last day here and it caught him out," said Bolger on J P McManus' representative.
"He's only five and will hopefully be a chaser in time. He could come back here for something on the 2nd next month."
