On start number 24 over hurdles, Will You Win (18/1) finally got her turn in the Aisling Kennedy Memorial (Mares) Maiden Hurdle.
Richie Condon set out to make the running but his mount was headed before halfway by Cullagh Star. Condon was able to fill up the daughter of Califet and she was back in front jumping two out. Despite guessing at the last, the eight-year-old kept on well to account for Bint Freya by four and a half lengths.
After Winding River at Downpatrick on Sunday, it was a second winner in five days for Condon and trainer Oliver McKiernan.
Condon said: "That was a while coming but she deserved that. It wasn't the strongest of maidens but she wears her heart on her sleeve and had a light weight on her back.
"The ground is heavy but we think she is a summer mare and hopefully can pick up another one."
