Whinstone scores win on chase debut
The Jimmy Mangan trained Whinstone Boy made a winning chase debut at Cork today, defeating Howryafeelin by two and a half lengths in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase.
Ridden by Sean McDermott, the dual point to point winner improved to lead from the third last fence and kept on well for a comfortable win.
Afterwards Mangan reported "Whinstone Boy ran a great race at Aintree the last day and he may get a summer's break now as he wont run on fast ground."
