Walkabout and Declan McDonogh teamed up well to take the honours in division one of the extended mile and three handicap at Limerick.
The 12/1 shot began to make headway in the final half mile and loomed large on the shoulder of Gioni Felice approaching the final furlong.
He soon took over and and was ridden in the final furlong to see off Mountain Fox (8/1) by three parts of a length for Gordon Elliott. Giorni Felice the 5/1 favourite, dropped to third.
Declan McDonogh said: "He has plenty of ability for this level and the trip and ground suited him today.
"Gordon sent me a text saying to ride him in mid-division and to creep away; hopefully he can win another one of those during the summer."
