Waitaki gained a second career success at Fairyhouse this evening when landing her first success for new connections, trainer Dermot McLoughlin and owner David Elffe in the La Bucca Restaurants Handicap.
The bottom weight, carrying just 8st1lbs under 7lbs claimer Danny Sheehy, arrived with a wet sail against the stands' rail in the home straight to forge to the front close home and score a three parts of a length win over Coreczka
Waitaki was previously a winner for trainer Dermot Weld at Dundalk in December 2016 and was picked up by current connections for E3,500 at Goffs Horses in Training Sale last February.
McLoughlin wasn't present for the win.
