Vroum Vroum gets pulses racing

Vroum Vroum Mag is an easy name for an Irish audience to grapple with and the French-import will soon have plenty of fans on these shores if her performance in the Kerlogue Mares Beginners Chase is anything to go by.
Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh had three runners at Wexford – Aminabad Measureofmydreams and this one – they all won and Vroum Vroum Mag brushed aside decent opposition in her two mile three furlong heat with consummate ease.
Punters that were in for the 5/4 this morning about the Mrs Ricci-owned 8/11 winner, will likely have enjoyed this nearly as much as Walsh as the successful five-year-old did everything right on her way to a nine length dismissal of the 127-rated hurdler Emily Gray
Afterwards Walsh made the point: "I'd say she would love real soft ground. The chase track is a bit drier than the hurdles course."
He then went on to note: "It was a good performance, she jumped super and travelled super.
"You'd love the way she jumped on the far side. When I pulled her out she pinged the one at the top of hill and got me there and then she pinged the ditch and it was nearly race over then in two jumps." (DM & EM)
