Viscount Nelson lands Hurricane Run Stakes
Viscount Nelson from the Aidan O’Brien stable justified favouritism after he ran out a 1/2 length winner of the Coolmore Hurricane Run Listed Race Stakes under Johnny Murtagh in the familiar colours of Sue Magnier.
O’Brien stated afterwards: “I’m delighted with that. He’s like his Mum and Dad in that when he gets to the front he doesn’t do a whole lot.”
“He’s a very good moving horse and he absolutely hated that ground. We will step him up to Group company now. The Futurity Stakes Group 2 at Fairyhouse at the end of the month is a possibility.”
