Velvet Flicker justified 8/13 favouritism when winning the Irish Stallion EBF Median Auction Race for trainer Kevin Prendergast and jockey Declan McDonogh.

The 95 rated daughter of Fasliyev made all to eventually record a two lengths win over Ruby Suesday

The win was McDonogh's 47th success of the year while Prendergast has now trained an impressive tally of 28 two year old winners in '09.
