Unforgetable landed the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden at Fairyhouse today for trainer Joseph O'Brien and stable apprentice jockey Shane Corsse.
The daughter of Muhaarar finished third and a short-head in front of Pronouncement when the pair met on their respective debuts at Naas on June 26 but Unforgetable today extended that margin to two and a half lengths as the pair led home the other seven runners.
Trainer O'Brien wasn't present and Crosse later said “we really liked her at home and she's really taken a big step forward from her first run. She finished third first time and we didn't get the clearest of runs but she showed enough that she could do a job for us.
“I jumped her out good and smart and I had to use her for the first furlong. You'd have to like her attitude and she's nice.
“She was just half speeding from a furlong-and-a-half down and then I gave her a flick and she puts her ears back.
“Ours really do take a big jump from the first run to second run and hopefully that's not the end of her. I've no doubt that she will get seven but she's showing lots of speed and there is no need to go there yet.”
