Two out of Three for Fee at Cork
Three of Fixed Fee s five career starts have been at Cork and the son of Priolo gained his second win at the venue in the Firville Handicap Hurdle to give Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh their second winner of the afternoon to follow on from Coffee Tea Or Me s victory in the opener.
Fixed Fee began his career when failing as a short-priced favourite in a bumper at this course back in March 2008 but on his fourth start and his second effort over flights, he shed his maiden tag in the Kanturk Maiden Hurdle at Mallow at the start of this year.
After a seventy eight day break and pitched into handicap company with top-weight off a mark of 116, this flashy-looker, stood out with his big white face travelling well throughout, and he had the necessary in the tank to see off Mission Possible by two lengths.
Better ground is obviously a help to the five-year-old who could return to Cork at Easter. (EM)
