Angela's Dream followed up on her recent course and distance success, as she took the I.F.A. Race Day Handicap under Colin Keane for Ger Lyons.
After winning here last month, the three-year-old daughter of Chineur since disappointed at the Curragh, finish ninth of nine in the race won by Pearl Of Africa.
Back to the Western venue this evening, she was sent off at 14/1, and she chased the leaders in the early stages.
She was third at the halfway point, hitting the front a furlong and a half from home, staying on well from there to score by two lengths at the line.
He’s Got Rhythm kept on well to take second at 14/1, under Connor King for David Marnane, while Iron Major was a length back in third, also at 14/1, under Billy Lee for Eddie Lynam. Harpist was sent off the 7/2 favourite, having being well-supported on-course from 9/2, but she could only manage a disappointing ninth under Wayne Lordan for David Wachman.
Shane Lyons, assistant trainer to his brother Ger, said afterwards: "We probably ran her back a bit too quick the last day, so we freshened her up and she loves this type of track, she won here last month.
"Colin gave her a good canny ride. She had a bad draw but he got a nice lead.
"She is as genuine as the day is long, though she wouldn’t want it any softer than that (officially good, yielding in places)."
