Triumph Davis shows her stamina in Limerick

Triumph Davis (14/1) powered away under Phillip O’Donnell to land the spoils in Limerick’s mares’ bumper over a two and a half mile trip.
She raced in seventh with a quarter of a mile to go but O’Donnell got a dream run up the inner and she was soon at the head of affairs before staying on powerfully to win by five lengths from 3/1 favourite Jenmarie
“She quickened up well early in the straight and showed a nice turn of foot. She’ll probably go for a winners’ bumper. The ground might have been a bit quick for her,” Phillip O'Donnell said. Ballet Dante completed the placings in third at 14/1. She was beaten seven and a half lengths by the winner.
Triumph Davis was availing of a step up in trip today. Her initial bumper outing came over two miles two when she was sixth to Eight Till Late in Limerick. Eight Till Late subsequently won the opening maiden hurdle on this card. Triumph Davis was then ninth in a two mile two Wexford bumper in May.
