Tres Froide far from cold
Only the minimum separated the first two home in the Jackie & Gene Handicap with Tres Froide (7/1) just getting the better of Arakango (16/1).
The runner up tried to make all under Gary Carroll for Thomas James but he was nailed on the line as Ben Curtis just got the John Larkin trained winner up.
Tres Froide which means very cold in French, was having just his third start in Ireland, having been previously trained in the UK where he only managed one win from twenty seven starts over there, that win coming at Redcar back in October of 2009.
The owners the MOCW Syndicate, who also own Bayross who is with John Larkin as well, are made up of Dermot & Pat O’Callaghan along with Derek Williams and are from Dundalk.
