Treble for Walsh on Seabass
Champion jockey Ruby Walsh completed a treble at Fairyhouse today, scoring his third winner on his father Ted's Seabass in the Corporate Hospitality at Fairyhouse Novice Handicap Chase.
The point to point winner shook off the challenge of Kasimali in the straight to score by a length, to provide Walsh Jnr with his 82nd winner of the Irish jumps season.
Seabass, winner of his latest start at Punchestown in January, four days after falling at the final fence with a race at his mercy at Navan, was later reported by Walsh Snr to be “an excellent jumper but how he fell that day at Navan, I'll never know - his jumping definitely won it for him today!”
