Tramore to Ballinrobe for winning Road
Revolutionary Road throws another good leap at the last under David Splaine

The Two's Company Syndicate includes big names in the game, Punchestown supremo, Dick O'Sullivan and Patsy Byrne (owner of many a good horse and greyhound in his time). Their Revolutionary Road was easy enough to back at 6/1 to follow up his Tramore win from 25 days ago but he defied any apparent lack of confidence to take the concluding Ballinrobe Racecourse Of The Year Opportunity Handicap Hurdle.
David Splaine was never far from the pace on Revolutionary Road. The Shirocco gelding hurdled well, getting to the front after two out before staying on well up the run-in to account for Clonleney by three lengths.
Maureen Danagher now handles the former Charles O'Brien inmate. Based in Limerick, Danagher remarked: "Ground is the key to him. He needs very, very good ground. He was due to run at Clonmel but we didn't even take him out of the horsebox – we turned and came home.
"We'll go to Killarney and for something at Galway." (TW & EM)
