Tramore Double for John Murphy
His Father Robert (Irish Show-Jumping Team Manager) is having a busy time of it with the Dublin Horse Show last week and Millstreet this week, and his son David Splaine grabbed a bit of the limelight for himself to complete a just over 28/1 double for John Murphy in the www.TheTote.com Handicap Hurdle on Old Peak Road
This 16/1 shot led after three out and kept going best to beat Market Watcher by three lengths. The absent Murphy had earlier taken the opener with the Eddie Power-ridden favourite, Sebadee
For Splaine, a 7Ib claimer, this was a second winner as a professional. He also rode a winner as an amateur. (EM)
