Youceeyouceecee finished third at the Listowel festival last time in first-time cheek-pieces and today again in the head-gear he went a couple of places better under Killian Leonard in the Book Online At www.limerickraces.ie Handicap.
For a time young Danny Sheehy looked in pole position to ride his first winner in this seven furlong heat, aboard Tom McCourt's Stamp Of Authority
He had no more to give inside the last though (eventually finished third) as Youceeyouceecee and the rallying Ecoeye finished stronger. The winner got the best of it at the line by a length.
Susan Finn trains 8/1 shot Youceeyouceecee for Mairead O'Carroll and the County Cork-based handler said: "He struggled a little today and didn't travel coming down the hill. He picked up well on the level though and Killian (Leonard) knows him well.
"He needs the ground almost unraceable and is a good tough horse. There's a race for him next week at the Curragh."
