The featured Quirke uPVC Windows (Clonmel) Tipperary Perpetual Cup Handicap went to Rashaan for the second year running at Powerstown Park.
This was a great effort from the classy hurdler under top-weight off a 187 day break.
From an 8Ib higher mark twelve months on, and on totally different ground, Rashaan was a 12/1 shot on this occasion, as opposed to the market topping 7/4 that he returned here in 2017.
However he was even better this time, again under Niall McCullagh, leading a furlong and a half out on the way to a two length verdict over Laid Back Luke
Hot favourite Hareth had every chance and he ended up in third at the finish.
Winning trainer Colin Kidd was on lead-up duties, and he has Rashaan engaged in a Down Royal beginners chase on Monday.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined St Lawrence Gap trained by Eoin Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
