Never Enough Time made a mockery of the handicap when recording a facile victory in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle.
The Oscar gelding, sporting the colours of race sponsor JP McManus, cruised to the front off the home turn and was clear at the final flight.
Ger Fox was looking around for non-existent dangers on the run-in as the 4/1 chance (available at 13/2 this morning and supported from 5/1 on track) sauntered home to beat Danequest by ten lengths. Golden Plan completed the placings another two and a half lengths away in third.
Winning trainer Tom Foley said, “I hope the handicapper was not looking! He’s a horse that’s not able to carry much weight.”
