Tilly lands a touch
Adrian Murray and Robert Jones teamed up to take the Hospice Go Racing April 21st Mares Handicap Hurdle with the well-supported Tilly Ann (6/1).
Available at 9/1 this morning with Paddy Power and recording her fourth career win including twice over this course and distance, the six-year-old travelled well to lead early in the straight.
She stayed on well from the last under Jones to beat Maryiver (20/1) by two and a half lengths, with 7/2 favourite Special Token another five lengths away in third.
Murray was away at Aintree saddling Cass Bligh, who finished in mid-division behind the Gordon Elliott-trained Russian War in the Listed Silver Cross Handicap Hurdle.
