- Tiger sheds maiden tag
Tiger sheds maiden tag
Siberian Tiger finally shed his maiden tag over flights when justifying odds of 8/13 in the Fermoy Maiden Hurdle under Ruby Walsh.
Walsh sported the silks of Adrian Collins, the first time these colours were carried by the son of Xaar and he just needed to be driven out on the run-in to see off Brosna Val by three lengths.
Successful trainer, Tony Martin said: "It is great to get it and he could go over to Michael Wigham to run in a few flat races in England. He might go to Fairyhouse though, plans are a bit up in the air."
Siberian Tiger won four races in his time cross-channel when he was under the care of Mick Channon. He was bought by his trainer for 50,000 guineas at Tattersalls in Newmarket in October 2008.
